How to locate and copy log information

Our reports are more effective if you include a copy of your logs from detected intrusions. The question in most people's minds is "where do I find them and how do I copy them?".

The answer varies according to the program you use. We will give instructions for some of the more popular program used by people to secure their personal/home computers.

Norton Internet Security

Double Click the Norton Internet Security Icon in the Task Tray.

Select "options" from the Program's Toolbar.Next Select "Internet Security". Click "View Event Log" Button. Highlight the Attack/Intrusion you are reporting, Select "Edit/Copy". Here's what that would look like:

Then In in an e-mail to doshelp@doshelp.com, paste it by clicking in the body of the e-mail, press the Ctrl key and the Letter "V" your text should then appear.

BlackICE Defender

Highlight the attack/intrusion, press the Ctrl Key and letter "C". Then go to the details section of our form click in that box and press Ctrl and the letter "V" this will paste the attack there.
