"You've Got MAIL!" can be one of the most frightening things to hear these days, Virus and trojan writers have evolved to the point that simply recieving the message from them can infect your computer. This is why it is important to use reliable commercially available Anti-Virus software. It is also a benefit to develope a rule about handling mail from unknown sources, particularly those with attachments. Much like the Firewall and security market pitching it's products to consumers, the Anti-Virus industry makes it's pitch and each one claims to be the "best, most complete". Everyone (including myself) has their personal favorite, either because of how well it works or how easy it was to use. The most important issue remains... "How well does it protect?" and "how often is there an update...and how do I get it?".
