For those of you who don't know what 'booting' is, it's an old practice which used to plague IRC (internet Relay Chat) rooms, where someone sends an oversized or malformed message to your chat client and it forces your chat client to disconnect.

This is of course the working weapon of 'children' I am working on a solution which will be in the form of a plug-in or an update to personal firewall software.

I've tried communicating to Yahoo about this since there IS something they can do to put a stop to it (revise the way their client handles messages?!).
