Windows Update Scam Messages

The purpose of these scams are to either install malware, or to steal your personal information by posing as a legitimate e-mail or website endorsed by Microsoft. You should be very careful not to disclose any information, or respond to the suspected fraudulent e-mail in any way. You should also avoid clicking on any links the message may contain, as visiting a malicious website can cause your browser to download 'code' which could potentially compromise your security.
